I began communicating with women on Ukrainian Bride website (www.ukrainianbrides.ru) in August 2013. I decided in September that I would come to Ukraine, and made plans that I would travel in October. I was originally supposed to come October 14th, but I changed my travel plans to come on October 10th. With the help of agency in Cherkassy, they setup and introduced me to my fiance, Olya. Fate would seem to have brought Olya and I together. Our first date was setup on the only night she did not work during my stay in Ukraine. If I had not changed my schedule, Olya and I would never met. Our first date together it was very obvious, Olya and I had much in common. When our translator left the room for a few minutes during our date, Olya began to speak with me in English, I was surprised and so very happy she wished so much to communicate with me. She communicated with me with such joy, I knew my heart wished to know her more.
So the next night I asked her out for tea after work and gave her perfume that is her favorite. Seeing her smile, and just the way she communicated I knew she was the woman I wished in my life. She gave me a key chain this night that I remember her every time I get in my car.
The last evening before I left, I wanted to see Olya one more time before I left. So we met again for tea after she was off work. I got her roses and wish to tell her I wanted us communicate, as I really felt she was the woman for me. What I did not realize, is this would be a surprise night for me. She presented me with a card that said she was giving me the key to her heart. Inside the card was a necklace with a key on it. I do not remember what I said as I was in shock, I just remember feeling overwhelmingly she indeed was the woman for me.
Over the next couple of weeks, we wrote letters on Ukraine Bride website to each other. With each passing day we communicated, I understood more and more that Olya and I were meant to be together. I decided soon after returning I wish to spend the last week of November with her. She was surprised I would return so soon.

I came prepared for this dinner date, as I sang a song to her. At the end of the song, I asked her to marry me, and she said yes! I am the happiest man alive that she accepted.
The next 5 days that I was in Cherkassy, we spent every day together communicating and enjoying being together. We celebrated her birthday during this time, and with each passing day I understood more and more how much we loved each other.
I left Ukraine December 1st and soon afterwards filed paperwork that Olya will join me in America. Every day that goes by I miss her more and more, and I know she feels this way too. I can imagine that our story is not very different than so many others
which surely happened on this dating site. The fact is that after
having tried many other dating sites then I arrived finally to Single

but just could not find that perfect woman for me. Most were just too young or they just did not seem right for me. Just when I felt I was ready to give up I found

reply to her she advised she had to go to China on business during Christmas but would like to hook up after Christmas.
I began conversing with Valya for more than 3 months and we always had lots to say and many questions of each other. She was divorced with two grown up
children and I also had two grown up children and one adopted child. I had been separated for 20 years but had never filed for my divorce. We had similar
backgrounds in many areas and the same passion for traveling. During the 4 or so months that passed we were able to better get to know each other. I was
relieved that she took the initiative to ask if I were sexually active and in good health. It made it that much more relaxing for both of us getting that question out
of the way because now we could ask anything and everything about each other. When we had explored each other to the point where all questions were asked of
each other we decided to meet. Coming to Canada for Valya would be difficult but for me it was quite simple. We agreed I should meet her at Donetsk Airport
on the 20th November, 2012. She informed me that I should stay at a hotel in Mariupol for 2 or 3 days so we could get acquainted in person. I did not think
much of the idea but went along with it.
I was the first person to get off the plane in Donetsk and up to the Immigration desk. The official looked at my passport and asked me for my visa. I did not
speak Russian but tried to explain to him Canada and Ukraine had an agreement and no visa was necessary. He took what seemed forever before he went to
another officer to check my story and then came back. He then told me to wait and he would get his boss. Finally the boss man looked at me and then the
passport and told him it was okay. The stamp was applied. Meanwhile all but one other were left and he got ahead of me, I being the first off the plane and the last
to get through immigration. I could now see the crowd and what I thought might be Valya but she was eyeing another younger man with long hair but then she
turned toward me and I saw a big smile come across her face. We held each other for quite some time and even kissed each other. She was no stranger to
me, it was if I knew her all my life. You see, I was in love with the person before I actually met her. I knew she was the one and now it was confirmed. We went
outside and I was met by her 26 year old son. You could see he accepted me right away because his mother had. We climbed into the back seat and held
hands, squeezing each other and the occasional sneeked kiss. I just had to ask her the question, “do I need to go to a hotel for 2 or 3 nights``. She replied, `` no
you are coming with me.`` . Wow! What a relief. I could only stay in Ukraine for 90 days so on the 7th December we went for 10 days to Dubai where we also visited Abu Dobbi and New Sum Dum. We had a fabulous time and our friendship blossomed. On March 15th we flew to Istanbul, Turkey where we
spent 3 days touring the city and taking in the sites. I flew back to Nova Scotia, Canada on the 16th April 2013 but with much regret. Back home during my 90
day wait I had much work to do around the house but we stayed in contact by way of Skype on a daily basis, sometimes 2 and 3 times a day.
I returned to Mariupol on the 17th July 2013 and have remained ever since. My divorce certificate has come to my lawyer and it has been stamped by the JLAC
(Justice Department) and forwarded to the Ukrainian Embassy in Ottawa for translation and stamping. It will be then sent to the Canadian Embassy, put in a
diplomatic pouch and sent to the Canadian Embassy in Kiev where we must obtain it and fill out papers to get married. I would recommend this site to anyone
looking for a bride. There are so many beautiful and intelligent women in the Ukraine. They know how to dress and they keep themselves very fit. I think it is
absolutely the best thing a perspective groom should do is to visit this site, take his time, get to know the person before actually going on that first date. I did and

PS : We are leaving for Panama on the 16th October for 6 months hopefully as a married couple.

*I joined this site several years ago. I started to correspond with Oksana from Ukraine city Konstantinovka. We exchanged many letters with her and than we decided to meet. We liked each other from the very beginning, so we wanted to see each other again and again. I came to Oksana several times, we spent together summer holidays and next step was her travel to Denmark to see how I live, meet my friends and family.
Now, after 1,5 years of dating we are husband and wife, wedding was in Denmark and Oksana is preparing for moving to me. Thank you for giving me the chance to meet my wonderful fiancé Svetlana!
We met on the site in June. We began correspondence and soon found that we had so much in common. It seemed like everything we discussed, we had in common or felt that we both agreed upon. With every letter, we became closer and closer, and soon we knew that this was something very special! We often discussed that this was destiny because everything seemed so right between us! Soon we knew we had to meet one another. In October, I was able to come to Kiev to meet Svetlana. Words can't describe how excited and nervous I was to finally meet her. She knew some English, but felt more comfortable having an interpreter for our first meeting to make sure we could discuss everything without any misunderstanding. She had arrangements to have someone she trusted from the agency to help us with the interpretation. We had made arrangements for her and the interpreter to meet at my hotel and walk across the street to a cafe to have coffee and conversation. I will never forget the moment when I walked out of the hotel and saw Svetlana standing there waiting for me. She was so beautiful!!! It was the happiest moment of my life.
Our first meeting went very well and the interpreter was very kind and professional. Her name was Anna and I want to thank her for her services. After our meeting Sveta and I went for a long walk around the city center together.
From that moment on, I knew this was the woman I had been searching for. Every morning she would meet me at my hotel and we would spend the days together seeing the city, going to the parks and museums, and visiting different shops and cafes. Every moment with Sveta, was my dream come true. Looking into her eyes everyday and the time we spent together was absolutely amazing!! It was so wonderful to feel love again in my heart! There were many times we would have conversation and have some trouble understanding each other. It became a joke with us and we laughed so much about it. I still remember her saying " Monday, Steve not understand. Tuesday, Steve not understand. Wednesday, Steve not understand. Every single day, Steve not understand!" It was so funny and we laughed about it so much. Even though it was hard sometimes to understand one another, we still made the best if it and had fun with it!! When two people care deeply for each other, there is no obstacle to great!!
During the time I was there, I was able to meet her children. She has a precious 7 year old daughter and a wonderful 18 year old son. I enjoyed spending time with them very much. Her son is in college and speaks very good English. I had such a good time talking with him.
Her daughter is an angel, and is starting to learn English too!
We arranged for another meeting with the interpreter to discuss our plans together. We both wanted to become serious and take our relations to the next level. So we discussed the visa process and decided that this is what we both wanted.
So now, Sveta and I have started the visa process and we are waiting for her visa for her to come to the USA. Words can't describe how happy I am and how much I love this woman!!
So there you have it, our happy love story, Steve and Sveta!!! Dreams really do come true, you just have to have faith and hope!!!
I must say there were times when I was skeptical about finding someone on the site. There are many girls who are not serious about truly finding someone. But, there are woman on the site who are, and I thank the agency so much for giving Sveta and I this opportunity to find one another. Thank you, Natasha club!!!
