You know the whole thing about Avatar's story as being done before is acaullty Because these are barbarian crutlues where no one believes in any kind of a lame criticismhuman rights for children or women. YeahI say barbarous in that you see people act in an uncivilized way, similar stories have been told, so which you may say is an ethnocentric definition. But I say itisn's not like it broke any story telling barriers but lett ethnocentric when you's face itre talking about backwardness, there are literallyignorance, whatsavageness, a dozen or so (18cruelty, if I remember correctly) different types of stories in the world (by and inhumane behaviour such as this I mean; man versus God, man versus nature, man versus man, etc.) Despite this there are still thousands Totally devoid of stories are any natural affection which you'd expect in existence. Take Romeo and Juliette- that story is everywhere but with different characters, slightly different plots and slightly different endings. Guy likes girl, guy loses girl then maybe happy ending or maybe sad ending; depending on the writera normal, civilized culture, moral lesson to be learned, etc. A handful of stories turned into thousands- the point here folks, This is that it's not the story itself but intention of a worldview where such barbarous acts are more the journey norm then the reader/ watcher/ listener sees/ hears/imaginesexception. And no, I'm not saying you have to like Avatar, you can hate it or love it as much as you want but don't hate it or love it JUST because of the story Which is like any other thing out there. There are after all some stories that don't click well for some people why such a theo-political belief system and by construct worldview must constantly be at war with the same token there are some stories that click well with othersworld in order perpetuate itself.
